SG Padel - Official Supply Partner for Premier Padel London P1

Premier Padel arrived in the UK for the first time this August, and SG Padel was there as official supply partner of the Iconic Tournament hosted at the newly transformed Olympia for six days of world class padel.

Padel's rapid rise in the UK has been building for years, but London P1 was the moment it arrived on the world stage, with the sport's elite going head-to-head in front of a home crowd for the first time.

in 2019, there were only around 15,000 players and a handful of courts nationwide. Since then, the sport has grown faster than almost any other in the country, crossing the one million player mark in 2026, with well over 1,800 courts now open across the UK.

London P1 marked Premier Padel's first ever tournament on British soil, hosted at Olympia's newly reopened venue following its £1.3 billion transformation. Over six days, more than 20,000 fans came through the doors to watch the world's best players compete on MejorSet Courts.

Olympia was transformed into a world class Padel venue for the week, with five MejorSet Full Panoramic courts alongside a Premier Padel centre court at the heart of the action.

Every detail of the setup was designed to match the scale of the tournament. From the court surfaces themselves to the surrounding infrastructure, everything was built to give players, spectators, and broadcasters the best possible experience.

As supply partner, SG Padel had a dedicated space inside the fan zone. An exhibit giving fans a closer look at the courts they'd just watched the world's best players compete on, alongside our own Premier Padel Kids court, letting the fans, and kids get on court themselves between matches.

Throughout the week, our stand became a meeting point for the global Padel community. We spoke with club owners and developers exploring MejorSet courts for their own venues, industry professionals curious about the engineering and specifications behind the tournament courts, and passionate fans who simply wanted to share their love of the game and players who lit up recognising us as the court providers behind their local or favourite clubs.

That range of conversation from serious commercial enquiries to general fan enthusiasm captured exactly what made London P1 so special. It was a privilege to represent MejorSet on such a prestigious stage, and to connect with so many people who share our passion for the sport.

More than 20,000 spectators came through Olympia's doors across the week. A landmark attendance for Premier Padel's first ever stop in the UK, and a clear signal of just how far the sport has come in the UK.

But the numbers only tell part of the story. Watching the world's best players compete live, up close, was truly spectacular. The speed, precision, and sheer athleticism on display from the very first matches was a reminder of just how elite this level of Padel really is. As the week built towards the closing weekend, the atmosphere inside Olympia rivalled anything you'd find courtside at a major tennis or basketball event. Music and crowd interaction, every rally and smash met with genuine roars from the crowd, every trickshot or out-of-court play gathering a collective gasp.

In the men's final, world No. 1s Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia held off Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán in a tense three-setter, winning 6-3, 5-7, 7-5.

The women's final produced one of the stories of the season. Seed #4 Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo beat Seed #1 Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay 7-5, 6-3, a week after falling just short in Pretoria.

The win made Martina Calvo, at just 18 years old, the youngest player in the history of the professional tour to win a title.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible effort of the SG Padel team throughout the week.

The whole team went above and beyond, not only for SG, but to represent MejorSet at one of the biggest events in the sport's calendar.
